  NGHIÊN CỨU ĐẶC ĐIỂM THỰC VẬT VÀ THÀNH PHẦN HÓA CỦA CÂY SÂM ĐÁ (Curcuma singularis) TẠI HUYỆN KBANG, TỈNH GIA LAI(24-11-2025)

This research obiectives are to provide data on the botanical characteristics to identify the scientific name for the Sam da (Curcuma singularis) and analyze the phytochemical composition of this species of the Curcuma ditributed in Kbang district, Gia Lai province as a basis for further research on this species. The subject of research for identification is Sam da growing in natural forests; the the rhizome and roots/tubers of the Sâm đá in natural forests and cultivated in shifting fields are used for analyzing the phytochemical composition. Identification is done by sharing images with experts knowledgeable about botany, followed by comparison with archived data to determine the scientific name. The phytochemical composition analysis is qualitative with reagents combined with thin-layer chromatography and quantitative using the Namba method. The research results have shown that the medicinal plant known as Sam da has the scientific name Curcuma singularis. The main component found in its underground stem and roots/tubers is saponin, with a content ranging from 1,16% to 1,82%, along with other compounds such as alkaloids. The saponin content in cultivated Sam da and that in the wild is the same.
